Baked Green Beans

One of my favorite ways to cook veggies is in the oven!  Pan frying works okay, but usually involves more oil or butter.  Steaming is fine, but I dislike having two pans to wash out.  Baking means I only have one thing to wash!  It’s also the perfect way to prepare a simple side dish with very little time.  This is an easy recipe to switch up with whatever spices you are partial to!

  • 1 lb frozen green beans
  • 2-4 teaspoons olive oil
  • garlic salt
  • black pepper
  • garlic powder
  • thyme or oregano
  • grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Shake beans onto a baking sheet.  Drizzle with olive oil.  If needed, use a spatula to flip them around a little and evenly coat with oil.  Season with garlic salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme, and parmesan.  Stick the pan in the oven for 15-18 minutes.  This is practically identical to the broccoli side we enjoy as well. 🙂
