Eliana is Eight Months Old!!!!!!!!

Our sweet Elly Hope (or Elly’ope as I more frequently call her haha) is getting way too big on us!

Weighing in at a whopping 15 lb 13 oz, this tot is already causing trouble left and right.  Although she has the army crawl down, Elly is obsessed with learning how to crawl.  She is constantly up on all fours trying to figure it out.  Once in a while she will take a few “crawl steps,” and is very close to completely getting it.

In addition to crawling, Elly gets all around via rolling and scooting.  She also figured out how to sit herself up and go from sitting to crawling and vice versa.  She is one busy little babe!

Take this kid’s diaper off and she’s unstoppable!  I am a fast diaper changer, but goodness!  It is a challenge these days with this girl!

Our three sweet babes! ❤ ❤ ❤  Grandma made the adorable hats!

Bath time is always so much fun!  The best baths are all three girls in the tub at once!

Happy days are days when Mama wears hoodies or sweats with drawstrings to gnaw on!

Elly’s favorite pastime is moving all over the living room/kitchen area at lighting speed, picking up every speck of dirt, food, or garbage she sees, and jamming it straight into her mouth.  Fun, fun.  The older girls know how to recognize Elly’s “something in my mouth” chew and are great at letting me know when I need to swipe something out.  This can be quite the challenging task since Elly definitely has the tiniest mouth out of our kids yet!  She isn’t fond of me taking out her treasures either, but I have gotten it done each time so far.

Eliana has two favorite ways to talk.  One is a really adorable, quiet, squeaky sound.  She usually opts for this one.  Her other mode is flat out yelling.  She isn’t even upset, but boy, she can sure belt it out!

I should also mention…. she learned how to say, “Mama” a few days ago and it’s my favorite ever!!!!!!  She tends to pull it out when she needs me or my attention.  When I’m feeding her and she’s ready for more…. “Mamamamama!!”  When she wants me to hold her or clunks her head on something, “Mamamamamama!”  haha  I love her.

Getting bundled up for our daily walk.  So funny and cute! ha!  She doesn’t look too impressed.

Cabz and I were having a good laugh one night, taking some selfies with Elly and joking about how easy life would be if she was our only child.  Of course, we wouldn’t trade any of our babes for the world and love them all bunches, but there’s no denying just Elly would be easier! haha!!

Ya, Mama, good luck getting a cute picture of me while wearing this.  Big dress bows are among my favorite chew toys.

In spite of the chewing tendencies, Elle is following suit with our older two and is a late teether.  She still hasn’t had any pop through.  I love it though, because she can only handle it better the older she is, right?  Also, nursing. ha

Speaking of nursing, I had mastitis again this month.  What the what?  Why am I getting it so frequently with her?  Annoying….  At least I have a system to keep it to the minimal and move on.  Elly usually nurses five times each day.  On a good night, she wakes up to nurse about twice.  In addition to her milk, she enjoys eating table food when offered.  She typically gets some of whatever I’m eating.  Slurping on apples?  Still a fav!

Baby girl loves snacking on Kix, super tiny pieces of grapes, ripped up pancakes, whole wheat Ritz crackers, or any other finger foods she can feed herself.  I can’t get over how tiny her little mouth is. haha

Eliana still takes her two daily naps.  Morning one starts at either 9:30 or 10 a.m. depending on the day and lasts half an hour.  Afternoon one starts around 12:30 p.m. and lasts until around 3 or 3:30 p.m.  Yes, she takes an AWESOME afternoon nap for me!!!  NEITHER of the older two did that.  I finally struck gold with a good napper!  Maybe it was all the ice cream I had during pregnancy….

Bed time is right around 7 or 7:30 p.m.  She wakes up for the day around 7 or 7:30 a.m.  Oh, how I love snuggle time!

Although Elly doesn’t need it, I still use the Bumbo seat.  Of course, now I use it in order to contain her vs. as an aid in sitting.

My dear friend, Rachie, gifted Elly with these adorable jams.  I call them her “skinny jams.”  She is so stinking cute in them! haha!

Elly thought she was pretty cool hanging out up with the big girls while they helped me with Christmas treats!

Pretty dresses for Christmas of course!

Sweet Baby was enjoying some window watching while her big sisters played outside.  Dreaming of the day she can get up and run with them I’m sure!
